CALPIRG Internship

Position Description 

CALPIRG Students is a student organization on campus that works to protect the environment, address food insecurity, and promote civic engagement. We helped nearly 10,000 students register to vote in California and got the UCs to release policy to phase out single-use plastics! We’re currently running campaigns to increase voter turnout, reduce plastic waste, and promote clean energy! Get involved to protect our environment!

As a volunteer or intern with CALPIRG you can:
-Build grassroots support for important issues
-Learn how to get press coverage and work with media
-Lobby elected officials with trips to Sacramento and Washington D.C.
-Plan big events like rallies in support of issues you care about
-Meet key experts and decision makers
-Learn key nonprofit management and fundraising skills
