Communication and marketing expert, Rachel Sarnoff, visits ELI.
Rachel Sarnoff of Lincoln Sarnoff Consulting is visiting ELI this week and is sharing her expertise in communications and marketing with ELI students. Her work emphasizes climate and conservation advocacy, strategic planning, project management, and fundraising. Rachel was Executive Director of the environmental health nonprofit Healthy Child Healthy World and the ocean conservation non-profit the 5 Gyres Institute. She is also a former journalist and founder of EcoStiletto and MommyGreenest.com and has given several TEDx talks in Santa Barbara.
Rachel understands intuitively how storytelling connects with cause to amplify impact. This week, she is sharing her knowledge with ELI students and is teaching students how to pitch their environmental leadership projects and create effective stories to motivate change. ELI students will be putting these new skills into action as they begin to design, develop, and implement their ELI projects in the months ahead.
